Select whether an Invoice line item is a Returned Good or a Credited Good

When processing a Credit Note you can define whether the item was Returned or Credited so that your Stock on Hand reports can retain their accuracy

You now have the control to define whether an item was Returned to the Supplier or simply Credited.

How to Return Goods

There can be occasions where you originally checked goods in and you later find out those goods aren't quite right! Now those goods are appearing in your Theoretical Stock on Hand but you need to return them.

To ensure that your Theoretical Stock on Hand reflects this return, you can select Returned Goods when processing the Credit Note.

Now the Theoretical Stock on Hand will show 5 less Apple Pies in all of the relevant stock reports.

How to Credit Goods

But wait, what if I did not receive the Apple Pies and therefore did not check in those Apple Pies when I was completing my Receiving Order? Since you never checked in any goods, your Theoretical Stock on Hand will still say 0 Apple Pies. You don't have any stock to return so you can simply uncheck the Returned Goods checkbox.

Now the Theoretical Stock on Hand will remain at 0 Apple Pies.

Which Reports Are Affected?

The Theoretical Stock on Hand Report, Theoretical Stock on Hand Purchase Ordering, Predictive Ordering and the Variance Report will all reflect these changes in the Theoretical Stock on Hand values.
