Generating your Integration Credential

How to create your secure key for integration control

What is an Integration Credential?

To enable secure and authorised access to your Sticky Dates account, a custom key may be generated and shared with other applications. This enables users to control access to their Sticky Dates account where permitted, or otherwise restrict access by re-generating a new key.

This key is known as your Integration Credential, and it is an automatically generated string of letters and numbers which you may use when integrating with your Cooking the Books or Drinking the Profits account.

Generating a new key

To enable an integration with another service, such as Cooking the Books or Drinking the Profits, a new Integration Credential must be generated.

Begin by logging in to your Sticky Dates account and opening the desired Outlet:

SelectOutlet

Please Note: Each Outlet contains its own unique Integration Credential key.

Once logged in, navigate to the Settings page and locate the Integration Setting section:

Settings

By default, the Integration Credential field will readily display a key for your use. To generate a new key, click Re-Generate Credential:

Once your new key has been generated, click Save Changes to apply the new key.

You may then click Copy Credential to save the key to your clipboard and paste it where required within the application you wish to integrate with.

Please Note: If you believe your Integration Credential key has been improperly used, please follow these steps to re-generate and save a new key to prevent unauthorised access to your Sticky Dates account.
