The Base Product Purchase Report provides a summary of the purchasing costs associated with each of your Base Products, serving as a valuable resource for budget optimisation.
With price fluctuations and discounts it can be challenging to determine which of your Base Product items truly offer the best deal. This report can be used to track the purchase prices of Base Products across different Suppliers, helping identify the most cost-effective items on average.
Tip: To access the Base Product Purchase Report make sure you have the Base Product Purchase Report option checked in User Authorities under Report Access. For more information please read the Modifying User Authorities help article.
To find the report navigate to the Stock heading and select Report:
Select Base Product Purchase Report:
Enter the desired Start date and End date:
Optionally, you can view a report on a single Base Product. Simply, tick Filter by base product and then select the Base Product of interest from the dropdown menu:
Alternatively, leave it unticked to view all Base Products in the report.
To view the products in a single table format select Generate as single table. This option is best if you will be using this report to generate visualisations.
Next, choose your preferred file format:
Now you can see the Total $ Spend, Lowest, Highest, and Average costs of each product within your Base Products:
